Preparing Your Skin for Spring
It’s beginning to feel like spring again and our skin could use some rejuvenating after a cold and dry winter. Here are some tips you can try to make sure
your skin care routine transitions smoothly from winter into spring.
- Start with investing in an exfoliator. If you suffer from dry, flaky, skin, sloughing off dead skin cells with a gentle scrub could help alleviate those symptoms and reveal a brighter complexion in time for spring.
- You’ll also want to do some spring cleaning where your skin care products are concerned. It is a good time to consider doing an honest assessment of your skin care routine and taking stock of the products you’ve been using and that work well for you and the ones that are just taking up space in your cabinet. A rule of thumb to follow is that if you haven’t used a product in six months, you most likely will not again and your best plan of action would be to get rid of it. Not only that but mold and bacteria can grow in skin care products over time causing heightened risks of clogged pours, breakouts, and irritation.
- After it’s all said and done, make sure to invest in a proper moisturizer with sunscreen for the warmer temperatures ahead. Our Dormer 211 Daily Protective Skin Moisturizer is formulated as a daily moisturizer with UBA/UVB protection. We offer both SPF15 and SPF30 strengths with an infusion of Vitamins B & E for added protection against free radicals, UV light, smoke, and air pollution.
